Your Safari Leaders

Your safari leaders are bush chefs and hosts as opposed to guides licensed to operate throughout Africa. Although their bush knowledge is extensive, their speciality lies in creating exceptional bush cuisine and other luxury touches normally associated with 5-star mobile safaris. All of our team leaders are experienced in African travel and very knowledgeable as to local conditions, camping and general bush etiquette.

Your safari leaders are responsible for every aspect of your safari and will ensure that you aren’t overwhelmed by unknown dangers or the physical challenges that a self-drive safaris entails. However, you have your own vehicle and with that comes the independence and freedom to do as much or as little as you want to on your own. This will only add to your experience and allow you even more privacy. In fact, your safari leaders will encourage you to head out on your own in certain areas

Your Safari Leaders will:

  1. ensure you are familiar with the vehicle and 4×4 driving techniques
  2. guide you through difficult terrain
  3. share their knowledge of animal behaviour
  4. help you find the best and most interesting wildlife sightings
  5. ease the hardships of camp life and help you with the making and breaking of each camp
  6. supply all of the provisions, so you don’t have to worry about what to buy and where to buy it
  7. cook gourmet meals on the fire in one of their big, black pots!

Your safari leaders are also experienced photographers and can provide assistance and direction with stills photography. They understand light, camera angles and game behaviour, and will always endeavour to position the vehicles so that you can capture the moment and have wonderful photographic memories to take home with you.

In the event that photography isn’t your thing or you didn’t achieve the desired results, Black Pot Safaris will offer still photographs of your trip for sale on at an agreed fee and upon prior arrangement.
